Jim Carrino '58 Headed for Georgetown Athletics Hall of Fame

Stanner Jim Carrino '58 will soon be inducted into the Georgetown University Athletics Hall of Fame. Jim averaged 19 ppg as a member of the undefeated 1958 Stanners team. He then attended Georgetown University, where he excelled as a shooter and finished his career as the fifth highest scorer in Hoyas history. Post Georgetown, Jim joined the Navy, was selected to the Armed Forces All-Star basketball team, and was invited to the 1964 Olympic trials.

Jim's biography and player stats are featured in "100 Years of Blue & Gray, The Georgetown University Basketball History Project: 2003 - 2007", where his name appears in their list of 100 leading names in Georgetown University basketball.
