Our retreat program offers the student body a weekend tailored to meet some of the spiritual, recreational and communal needs of the student.

Our retreat house is the Marist Brother Retreat House in Esopus, NY- located 100 miles NW of Molloy. There are 9 retreats per year, 2 for each grade level, and 4 encounters offered in Senior Year.

Each grade level retreat a progression in spirituality- culminating in Encounter.

1/2 of the student population will have participated in retreats this upcoming year.

Boxes from Operation Christmas Child.

Every year we have 4 drives:

  • November - Coat Drive- collecting money and used coats for various shelters.
  • November - Operation Christmas Child — making care packages for children world-wide.
  • December - Toy Drive- New toys to be donated to 7 different charities.
  • Spirit Week- Food Drive — A one day event collecting non-perishable goods.

SUMMER CAMPS

For over thirty summer, the Marist Brothers have sponsored one-week summer camps for the handicapped. Last summer alone, over 800 handicapped children and adults had the opportunity for a week in the country in Esopus, New York, giving their families a much-appreciated respite. These camps serve the mentally handicapped, the deaf, children with cancer, and children with terminal illnesses. Student volunteers work at these camps, where there is a one-to-one ratio of counselors to campers. Some who started this program as students continue to volunteer as adults, bringing their wives and children with them.

For the campers, this program provides an opportunity that is truly unique, as most camps cannot accommodate their special needs.

Marist Youth

What does being involved in The Marist Youth entail?

The primary objective of the MARIST YOUTH is to “make Jesus known and loved.” For more information about being a member of The Marist Youth, visit the Marist Youth club page.

RIGHT-TO-LIFE

Upholding our Catholic Marist principles that life is sacred and to be protected from the moment of conception to natural death.

  • Since 2006, we have tackled issues such as abortion, AIDS, and breast cancer.
  • Every January, along with 400,000 from around the country, we attend the March on Washington opposing Roe vs. Wade.
  • Have participated in events such as the AIDS walk in Central Park.
  • From displays, to events, to speakers, all to help raise awareness that life is precious.
